“You got ready on time, good!”
Identify what is in need of work at a family meeting. – “You need to be downstairs at 7:00 a.m. without any reminders from me.”
Identify what usually happens just before the situation takes place.
“Your alarm didn’t go off, you didn’t set it.”
Write a list of all the things that happen and talk about each one at a family meeting.
Write a plan
Have a conversation with children about what they like to do in their free time and write them down. Write them down. Talk to them about how they can earn these things as privileges, and what they don’t get if they don’t comply with the plan.
